Two Trinity Seniors Selected in 2025 MLB Draft
Sharpsburg, GA — Trinity Christian School is proud to officially recognize and extend heartfelt congratulations to two of its graduating seniors, TJ Ford and Dillon Stiltner, who were selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft on Monday, July 14.
The MLB Draft consists of 615 picks across 20 rounds, drawing from a nationwide pool of high school seniors and draft-eligible collegiate players. Ford and Stiltner, both members of Trinity’s Class of 2025, were drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 14th round and the New York Mets in the 18th round, respectively. Both athletes had previously signed to play collegiate baseball, but now face the rare opportunity to bypass college and pursue a professional baseball career directly out of high school.

When asked what Trinity has meant to his journey, Stiltner (who has attended Trinity since eighth grade) shared, “Trinity left an everlasting impact on who I am as a person and a player, on the field and off the field. Whether that be in my faith walk or my coaches pushing me to be a better person and player each and every day. The brotherhood and relationships that I formed are going to leave an impression on me, and I’ll remember those memories and moments forever.”
Ford, who joined the Trinity community in twelfth grade, added, “I came to Trinity to strengthen my relationship and belief in God. That’s exactly what happened, from my classes, to chapel, and in athletics as well. Since I came to Trinity, I have made relationships in all of these places that have drawn mecloser to God and taught me how to walk in faith.”
Whether they choose the collegiate or professional path, we celebrate their remarkable achievements and look forward to cheering them on in the years ahead. We are confident they will continue to use their God-given talents to impact others and further His Kingdom as they begin this exciting new chapter.
