Carowinds - Save the Date!

Attention HS Chamber Group students:

We have a confirmed date to perform at the Music at the Parks / Carowinds Music Festival.  This is such a fun trip for our instrumental high school group, we have gone in the past and it was a highlight, for sure!

We will plan to travel with our HS Chamber Group to Carowinds (South Carolina, just outside of Charlotte, NC) on March 19-21, 2027.  We will stay in a hotel for two nights.  We will perform for a panel of clinicians at Carowinds, attend the park, and other fun activities along the way.  This is a number of months away, but we are asking that you reserve these dates and plan to travel with us.  We can’t wait to go in March 2027, please mark your calendars!

More info to come on cost and specifics.  Please make sure to reserve these dates, and stay tuned!

LEE UNIVERSITY STUDENT EXPERIENCE

Students - please fill out this Google Form to reserve your spot for the Lee University Student Experience.  This biannual trip is for HS students involved in the Arts at TCS, and will give them an Arts experience at a collegiate level in the areas of Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Theatre and Media.

We will travel to Lee on Thursday, September 24th, and return that same evening.  Lee will provide a customized schedule where we perform, see performances from their students, and hear from their faculty.  We will also eat lunch in their dining hall and tour the campus.  They have a fully functioning Arts program, and will show our students what a college Arts experience is like.

ALL THINGS THEATRE

PATRONS PROGRAM

MANY THANKS to our generous patrons for supporting the Arts.  The newest addition to our department is this golf cart, coming on campus THIS WEEK!  We will benefit from this cart in a number of ways, including:

  • To and from the field for Marching Lions rehearsals and games

  • Back and forth from storage areas and between buildings for Theatre rehearsals and shows

  • Outdoor events setting up various media systems

  • General use with the heavier gear we use regularly for the Arts

We have learned (quickly) that the Arts is very tangible.  We use physical equipment, even as we live in a digital world.  This cart will help tremendously as we continue to perform and present the amazing creativity that our students are producing.  And we say THANK YOU!!

2026-27 Patrons List - Join NOW!

We would like to invite you to partner with our Arts programs through our Performing Arts Patrons Program.  This is a way to directly support our students in the Arts through your generosity.  If you would like more information, or to give, please visit www.tcslions.org/patrons or contact us and we would be glad to answer your questions.

Here is a list of 2025-26 projects completed:

  • Wrapped Marching Lions trailer

  • Complete remodel of the PAD rehearsal space

  • Marching Lions supply for their season and beyond

  • New instruments and cases

  • Additional musical supplies for our classrooms and spaces

This coming year we plan to do projects like these:

  • New golf cart for use by all Arts departments

  • Media console for in-class instruction as we train our students to run live events

  • Supplies and cabinets to set our new teachers up for success the first days of school

  • Construction of storage space for better theatrical functionality

  • New instruments for band and orchestra

  • Marching Band carriers and stands for our percussionists

  • Marching Band speakers and gear to enhance halftime experiences

We are seeking Family and Corporate Sponsors to join us as we continue to grow in the Arts, with a variety of perks for you at each level of giving.  Your generosity helps us do projects like these and more, as this program is designed to invest in the next generation of artists, musicians, and performers.  Join us as we invest in the Arts, and inspire the future!  At TCS, our Patrons are truly “All About the Arts!!”

INSTRUMENT REPAIR

We use Big Note Music for on site repair of many of our musical instruments.  If you have an instrument that needs repair, this may be a great option for you.  The process works with you filling out an online form, pre-paying for the repair, and then they come for a scheduled repair session right on our Trinity campus.  Your student wouldn’t be away from their instrument except when it’s on the repair table.  This convenient option has worked for us for a few years now.  Simply fill out the online form and let us know that a repair has been scheduled.
