FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Parents and Students – We hope that you’ve had a fantastic start to the school year!  We are excited to host our first Home Varsity Football Game of the season against Woodward Academy, on Friday August 19th.  As you’ve likely notice, the additional seating has taken up space where some of our students have historically played together during the game.  Given the increase in game attendance and desire to keep our stadium a safe and friendly environment, we now have two student sections for Varsity football games.  The high school student section remains in it’s traditional location and is limited to high school students only.  The second student section will be clearly marked on the first two rows on the left side of the stadium (left side when looking at the field from the home side of the stadium) This will be for MS students and down.

Please note that for safety reasons and others, Students playing and running in the stadium during the game will be asked to sit in the designated student section or with a parent.

PARKING FOR FOOTBALL GAMEs

Parking will be available on main campus for all home football games with additional overflow parking at the old Immanuel College adjacent to the campus. If you arrive to the game and the campus parking lot is full, you will be directed to the adjacent parking lot where you will be shuttled back to the campus to view the game and shuttle back upon the games conclusion. Shuttle service will begin around 6:30pm and will stop at approximately 7:45pm (15 minutes after kickoff). The service will then start back up at the end of the 3rd quarter and run for approximately 1 hour after the conclusion of the game. We are excited to be able to add more spots to park that are so close to the campus for our fans to be attention Friday nights in Sharpsburg!

Lance Duncan - Athletics Director

We are super excited to announce that Mrs. Sara Kuchinki will join Trinity Christian School as the new Head Volleyball coach! With eleven years of coaching experience at the club, high school, and college levels we are so very excited about the leadership and experience she will bring to TCS.

Kuchinski is originally from Arkansas and moved to Georgia in 2019. While in Arkansas, she began playing volleyball at age 9 all the way through high school. She received the honor of being named team captain on both her high school and club volleyball teams when she was 14 years old. Kuchinski also received All Conference, All State, and All Star MVP awards her junior and senior years in high school.

Kuchinski pursued her volleyball career at Ouachita Baptist University (2012) where she became their starting setter. After her freshman year, she was unable to continue in her athletic pursuit due to a career ending shoulder injury. Kuchinski transferred to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) where she earned her degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition (2017). Along the way she was able to work as a volunteer assistant coach at UCA from 2013-2015. Kuchinski also coached for 501 Volleyball Club (2011-2015) and Conway Juniors Volleyball Club (2016-2019). During her time at Conway Juniors she served as Assistant Director, Director of Coaches, and helped start Conway Juniors first beach program.

Before coming to TCS, Kuchinski coached two years at 575 volleyball club for their 18 National teams. For the last three years Kuchinski has been at the helm of the volleyball program at North Cobb Christian School where she also taught middle school PE. In her first season at NCCS she led her team to an 18-15 record, 3rd place in Region, and a Sweet 16 finish in State. In 2020, she led the way to a 22-11 finish overall. Claiming NCCS’s first Region title in NCCS history, finishing ranked 13th out of 43 teams in Private Schools in Georgia, and 51st overall in the State of Georgia. In her last season with NCCS the team finished 20-14 overall, Region Runner-Up, and broke into the Elite 8 for the first time in school history, finishing 10th in State.

Sara and her husband Austin, a native of Kennesaw, graduate of Harrison HS (2013) and former college baseball player, currently live in Dallas. Where they enjoy cooking, exercising, and playing games together. Sara will be joining the High School Staff.

Please join me in welcoming her and husband to the TCS family!

Physical Day

It is that time of year for our 2022-2023 Sports Physicals.  GoMed will be at Trinity for physicals for 3 days this year. The dates are Monday, April 18, Tuesday, April 19, and Wednesday, April 20 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Physicals are $20.00.

Payments and scheduling will be done through Blackbaud.  You will receive an email to show that you have a form to complete for your child.  If you do not receive an email, you can login to your Blackbaud account, click on your name in the top right corner, and click Files and Forms. The title of the form is Physical Day. If you have multiple children to sign up, you must complete a form for each child.

Every athlete is required to have a physical on file prior to the start of their season.  Athletes will not be allowed to start their season without a physical and athletic forms on file in the Athletic Office.  This is a great opportunity to complete your paperwork prior to the start of the next school year and your physical will be good for the entire 2022-2023 school year.

If you have any questions, please email athletics@tcslions.org.
