Walking Together: Moments That Matter
What a fun week it has been at Trinity! Homecoming Week has brought so much energy and school spirit to our campus. From the activities and celebrations to simply seeing our students enjoy being together, this has been one of those special weeks that reminds us what it means to be part of the Trinity family.
A special congratulations to our newly announced Homecoming King and Queen and Homecoming Prince and Princess! We celebrate each of you and hope you will always remember this special moment.
As we celebrate Homecoming, I am reminded that some of the best parts of school are the moments that bring us together. Our theme this year is ENGAGEMENT. Weeks like this certainly give our students opportunities to engage with their school, their classmates and their community in ways that create lasting memories.
As we look ahead, I also want to personally invite our High School parents to our GO Week Parent Night this Monday, October 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center. This will be an important evening as we share where our students will be serving, what they will be doing, trip details, costs and how GO Week gives our students the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We hope you will join us as we prepare for another meaningful opportunity for our students to Know God and Make Him Known.
As we continue walking together, may we know God more deeply, make Him known more faithfully and trust Him to guide every step we take. May the Lord bless you and your family this week.

Chapel
"In this week’s high school chapel, Southcrest Youth Pastor, Jevaughn Huggins preached from Romans 1:18–32 on “Given Over.” Pastor Huggins explained that understanding God’s wrath makes the gospel clearer: we are saved from the righteous wrath of God against sin. God’s wrath is justified because humanity suppresses truth that God has made known through creation. Rather than remaining neutral, humanity’s rejection of God leads to futile thinking, darkened hearts, false worship, and a false sense of superiority. Romans describes God “giving them over” to sinful desires, disordered passions, and ultimately debased minds that not only practice wickedness but approve it. This sobering passage exposes humanity’s guilt and inability to save itself. Yet that depth of human need reveals why the gospel is such good news: we desperately need salvation through Christ."
