Walking Together:
Leaves Are Falling, but We Are Lifted Up
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1–2 (ESV)
Trinity Family,
As we turn the calendar from October to November, if you’re like me, you see the beauty of changing seasons. The temperatures are cooling, the leaves are changing colors and beginning to fall and another month of the school year is coming to a close. Yet as the leaves fall around us, I am reminded of a wonderful truth: Even as things around us change, God continues to lift us up.
Life has its seasons, doesn't it? Some bring excitement and celebration, while others bring challenges and uncertainty. As parents, educators, and students, we experience those seasons in different ways. But through every change, we serve a God whose faithfulness never changes.
Psalm 121 reminds us to lift our eyes toward the Lord, the One from whom our help comes. What an encouraging reminder as we enter November! Our strength is not found in having everything figured out, but in trusting the One who holds every season in His hands.
As we approach Thanksgiving, I encourage our Trinity families to look beyond the busyness of everyday life and recognize the many ways God has carried us this school year. Perhaps this is a wonderful time to ask, “Where have you seen God's faithfulness in your life recently?” Sometimes we become so focused on what lies ahead that we forget to thank God for how far He has already brought us.
The leaves may be falling, but our hearts can remain lifted toward the One who never changes.
As we continue walking together, may we know God more deeply, make Him known more faithfully and trust Him to guide every step we take. May the Lord bless you and your family this week.

In this week's chapel, Pastor BJ Cobb from FBC Senoia challenged our students to see Christian meditation as an essential spiritual discipline for growing in godliness. Drawing from 1 Timothy 4:7–8 and Psalm 1, they were reminded that just as physical training requires intentional effort, spiritual growth requires purposeful devotion to God and His Word. Biblical meditation doesn't empty our minds; it fills them with Scripture, reflects on God’s truth, and lets it shape our thoughts, desires, and actions. Like a tree planted by streams of water, those who delight in God’s Word develop deep roots, spiritual fruitfulness, and lasting stability in Christ.
