The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph
Welcome back! I hope your family enjoyed Spring Break! We only have seven more weeks of school remaining. We will finish these last seven weeks continuing to focus on important academic concepts, fostering spiritual growth, and preparing our students for the next grade level. We have many fun activities planned for our students as well. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish strong!
This week, we are excited to focus on Easter and celebrate our Risen King! All of our students will have a classroom party. Our early learning students (preschool and kindergarten) will also participate in Easter egg hunts. Please see your child’s Blackbaud page for further details from your child’s teacher.
Kindergarten Graduation Pictures
Just a reminder that kindergarten graduation pictures are this Tuesday, April 12th. Please see Blackbaud for specific information from your child’s teacher.
Last Week in Chapel
This week in chapel Pastor Kami taught our kids about what reconciliation is - a big word that means making things right. They looked at the story of Jacob tricking his brother Esau out of his birthright, and how after many years God brought the twin brothers back together. Thankfully, they showed us how true forgiveness can take place.
Our Bible verse: Romans 12:18 “Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.”
Please ask your kids: What are the 3 things we need to say when apologizing to someone?
Hopefully they’ll answer: 1. I’m sorry 2. It was wrong of me to _______________ 3. Will you please forgive me?
Classroom Highlight - A Peek Into Our Classroom Fun
Members of our high school Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy have spent time volunteering in our first grade classrooms. Our students have enjoyed this time, as these future high school leaders have read books to the class and also devoted time to help students progress in reading fluency. A few students have even received shoe tying lessons! Our students love seeing the “big kids” and enjoy the time they spend in our classrooms. We are blessed to have great role models right here at school!

To stay informed of what’s happening in your child’s classroom, please login into Blackbaud weekly. You will be able to see information such as weekly classroom announcements, upcoming events, weekly academic focus, grades, attendance, etc. This is the key to staying informed and will replace the hardcopy newsletter sent home in the past. I encourage you to login each week. We are excited for this new format! Information will be updated each Sunday at 5pm.
Accessing your child's class information weekly:
Login to your Blackbaud account and select your child's name under "Children".
Find your child's homeroom class under the "Progress" tab by scrolling down to where classes are listed.
After selecting the homeroom class, you will see the teacher's main class page where you will locate upcoming dates, class reminders and news.
Select the "Topics" tab to see specific information for each individual subject. Within each subject folder, you will see a plan for the week and upcoming projects and test information.
The "Topics" pages update each Sunday evening at 5pm and will remain current until the following Sunday evening.
