The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph

As we approach Thanksgiving, we are reminded of how grateful we are for our wonderful school family. We are thankful for your partnership, support, and the trust you place in us each day. Your children bring joy, curiosity, and laughter to our classrooms, and it is a blessing to walk alongside them as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with rest, gratitude, and meaningful time with family and friends. We pray your homes are filled with warmth, peace, and the joy that comes from a thankful heart.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever his faithfulness continues through all generations. ~ Psalm 100:4-5

If you would like to participate, please send in cash with your child. Looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season together!

Progress Learning Mid-Year Testing (K5-3rd Grade)

On December 9th and 11th, we will be conducting our mid-year benchmark assessment for both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. It's important to note that these assessments are designed to evaluate students' understanding of the academic concepts covered so far this school year and to measure their academic growth as an individual student since the initial benchmark test. Remember, these assessments do not contribute to their academic grades. Students are encouraged to eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at school on time, as testing will begin promptly each morning.

DISMISSAL DETAILS FOR OPTIONAL HALF DAYS

As we look towards the holiday season, we wanted to communicate our plan for our optional half-day dismissals in December for the final week of the semester. Please review the information below and let us know if you have any questions.

Optional Half-Day Dismissal Dates: Tues, Dec 16 — Wed, Dec 17

Required Half-Day Dismissal Dates: Thurs, Dec 18 — THERE WILL BE NO AFTER SCHOOL OPTION ON THIS DAY

Dismissal Times: Note this is a change from years past. We are attempting to stagger our dismissal times to help alleviate some of the traffic issues that occur during the holiday season in Peachtree City. We are also hoping this will help speed up the dismissal line overall. The Main Office will close at 11:45am and will not reopen until the dismissal line ends.

12:00pm - Elementary (1st-5th) will dismiss. Only students in 1st-5th grade will be dismissed at this time. If you have a middle school student to pick up as well, please see information below.

12:30pm - Middle School (6th-8th) will dismiss. Students in 6th-8th grade along with siblings in 1st-5th grade will be dismissed at this time. If you only have Elementary students to pick up, please plan to do so prior to 12:30pm.

Note: If you attempt to go through the car line to pick up a middle school student prior to 12:30, you may be required to re-enter the car line as middle school students will not be available for pickup until after 12:30pm.

For the optional half days on Tuesday and Wednesday, students may remain at school free of charge until 3:30pm. After 3:30pm, regular after school rates will apply. If you need to pick up your child after the half-day dismissal ends, you may do so by either:

1. Picking up your child via the Main Office until 3pm.

2. Picking up your child via the normal Afternoon Dismissal line between 3-3:30pm.

****GO CHURCH CAMPUS INFORMATION****

EARLY LEARNING AT GO CHURCH INFORMATION FOR DECEMBER 16 and 17th : The Early Learning students at our Go Church campus will dismiss from 11:30 to 12:00pm. EARLY LEARNING AT GO CHURCH INFORMATION FOR DECEMBER 18th: Transportation will NOT be provided to the main campus for Early Learning students.

Chapel Moments

Last week, we wrapped up our “Windows” series in Chapel as Pastor Kami taught about three ways we can open windows of opportunity that seem closed: PRAY, GIVE, and GO. Our students put “GIVE” into action by blessing others through Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and together we practiced “PRAY” as we prayed over every child who will receive them.

Pastor Kami also shared the story of her daughter, Hannah, who felt called to be a missionary at just nine years old. Now, at 21, after graduating from TCS and Southeastern University, she followed that call and left two weeks ago to serve in Micronesia.

What a powerful reminder that no matter how young our students are, they can always say “YES” to Jesus!

Whatchagaddaknow: I Will Pray, Give, and Go!

Power Verse: “And the Good News about the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it…” Matthew 24:14
