Honoring Our Heroes: A Veterans Day Tribute
As Veterans Day approaches, we are reminded of the incredible courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have served our country. We are excited to once again come together as a Lower School family to honor the loved ones you hold dear.
We invite you to share photos of your family members who have served in the U.S. military, past, or present, along with a few details about their service. These personal stories will help us create a meaningful digital display in our school hallways, honoring their service and helping our students better understand the meaning of patriotism, sacrifice, and gratitude.
To help us celebrate these heroes, please complete the following form by Friday, October 23rd. Thank you for allowing us to honor your family's heroes and recognize the lasting impact of their service!
Chapel Moments
We had a great time in Chapel this week as Mrs. Moore taught the final lesson in our Life Lab series! In this lesson, we learned through the story of King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:24-37 about the importance of choosing humility rather than pride. We discussed how humility means choosing to put God first instead of putting ourselves first. God deserves the glory for all that we are able to do and we cannot accomplish anything apart from Him. Because of this, it is important that we are thankful for the gifts and abilities God has given each of us and that we use them to glorify Him and serve others.
Main Focus: God's people must always stay humble.
Power Verse: “Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.'" Proverbs 16:18
