Last Week in Chapel

In chapel, Mrs. Randolph taught a lesson titled "Get in the Game," using football as an example. She explained that just as a football team consists of players with different positions and skills, God has given each student unique gifts and talents. The lesson emphasized that it’s important not to stay on the sidelines but to actively use our abilities to serve the Lord and help build His church.

Main Focus: We must all work together to build God’s church.

Whatchagaddaknow: I will get in the game and do my part.

Last Week to Join!

The heart of this worship team is simply to be an example to others of how to worship. I am excited to provide an opportunity where our students can shine God’s light before others.

I encourage you to login each week. Information will be updated each Sunday at 5pm.

Important Dismissal Information

We have partnered with the company safeDISMISSAL.COM to facilitate our dismissal process for our Early Learning campus (PreK-3 through Kinder) and our Main Campus (1st - 8th grades). One of the many wonderful features of this dismissal process is that your children will remain comfortably and safely in their classroom until the moment they meet you in the "car loading zone".

Here are a few tips to follow during our dismissal process:

  • Please make sure to have your ‘pick-up’ card displayed in your front window when entering the dismissal line. Please keep your card displayed until your child has been loaded into your car.

  • Please stay in-line (no passing) during dismissal as the children will be instructed to walk to specific spots for loading.

  • To reduce your wait time, please keep up with the car in front of you.  Stay attentive and focused on the car line.

  • If your student does not arrive at the loading spot before you do, you may be instructed to move to a "waiting" area where your child will be notified again. We ask you to move to this area so that we do not hold up the remaining dismissal line.

  • Please note:  Your child is assigned to be picked up at a particular spot according to the order of cars in line each day.  Please follow the car in front of you until the line stops, regardless of where you might or might not see your child.  Stopping before the line has filled will cause the sequence to be thrown off and delay the line.  We will get your child to the proper spot should they have gone to the wrong place.

Finally, we ask for your patience the first couple of weeks of school as everyone gets accustomed to the process.  It will get faster/better each day!

The administrators and teachers are committed to making this process beneficial to all parties. Please visit www.safeDISMISSAL.com for more information.  Below are a couple of helpful resources to further explain the process.

The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph

Our first week of school has been fantastic! Our students have truly excelled, adjusting to their new routines. Teachers are thrilled with their new classes and have been enthusiastic about how well their students are doing. Our young Lower School students have also shown great responsibility in following arrival and dismissal procedures, as well as navigating the cafeteria smoothly. What a fun week we had as students have enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. Our 1st-3rd grade students gathered for our first Chapel service where we joined in praise and worship together. What a joy it is to gather together to worship our Lord! We’re looking forward to an exciting and successful year ahead!!!

Last Week in Chapel

In our last Chapel of the year, both our kindergarten and third grade classes led our student body in worship during their individual Chapel services. It was a remarkable way for our kindergarteners to mark their final Chapel before transitioning to our main campus next school year. Meanwhile, our third grade students have set an exceptional example for our Lower School student body.  As a special send-off to Upper Elementary, we said a prayer of blessing over our third graders.

Last Week in Chapel

Last week’s Chapel was full of joy and excitement as we finished our “Don’t Worry About it” series. Pastor Kami had lots of help to make this chapel a great one: Kevin, Riley & a group from Mrs. Akey’s 3rd grade class led us in worship; Chuck Foo helped teach our Power Verse; and a terrific group of 3rd graders acted out our Bible story of the Prodigal Son. We learned that though we will all face hard times in life, God can bring joy out of our sadness.

Whatchagaddaknow: “Even in my hard times, God can bring me joy!

Power Verse: “Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy” Psalm 126:5

Progress Learning End Of Year Testing

This Thursday and Friday, we will be conducting our final benchmark assessment for both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. It's important to note that these assessments are designed to evaluate students' understanding of the academic concepts covered throughout the year and to measure their academic growth as an individual student.

In preparation for the final benchmark assessment, we need your assistance in the following ways:

  1. Minimize stress - Encourage students to give their best effort while reassuring them that there's no need to feel anxious about the test. This assessment is simply an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they've learned throughout the year!

  2. Attendance - It's crucial for students to be present and arrive at school on time for these testing dates. Testing will begin promptly both mornings.

  3. Rest and Routine - Please ensure that students get plenty of rest each night and have a healthy breakfast each morning to support their readiness for testing.

Last Week in Chapel

We had a great time in Chapel this week as we continued our lesson titled "Worry Doesn't Work". In last week’s lesson, we studied Matthew 6:25-34 and discussed the importance of trusting God rather than worrying. The students learned that we can overcome worry by trusting, praying, and worshiping God.

Whatchagaddaknow: “I Won't Worry About Anything!”

Power Verse: “Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything...” Philippians 4:6

Last Week in Chapel

It was a fun week in Chapel as Mrs. Duncan introduced our new series called "Don't Worry About It". In last week's lesson, through the story of Paul and Silas in jail, the students learned that they don't have to worry! Actually, they can praise God in the midst of difficult circumstances! Life is filled with uncertainty. It may be easy to focus on the things troubling us and even begin to fret. But, God promises to bring us peace when we choose to trust in Him and rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Main Focus: If you trust in God, you don't have to worry!

Power Verse: “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty." -Psalm 91:1

Whatchagaddaknow: “I Won't Worry, I Will Trust In God!

Last Week In Chapel

This week we had a special chapel service kicked off by Kevin & Riley leading us in worship. Many students helped act out the Easter story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Then our favorite Chuck Foo assisted in teaching the Bible verse, which was a long one, but a really good one to memorize. Pastor Kami taught us that God ALWAYS finishes what He starts.

Bible Verse: “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6

Whatchagaddaknow: God won’t quit until He’s through!

Last Week In Chapel

Mrs. Randolph continued our series on “The Rock: Lessons From the Life of Peter”. Through the story of Peter in prison, students learned that God can set us free from any “prison” we are in. If we find ourselves “jailed” by sinful habits we should 1) Ask for Prayer 2) Do Your Part - Obey 3) Never Look Back. We are so grateful that God is willing and able to set us free from sin.

Main Focus: God Can Set You Free From Any Sinful Habit.

Power Verse: “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” John 8:36

Whatchagaddaknow: Jesus Came And Died For Me, And From Sin, He Sets Me Free

Last Week In Chapel

Last week in Chapel we continued our series about Peter, who Jesus called “The Rock.” Pastor Kami and a few friends helped tell the Bible story from Acts 3 about Peter and John and their encounter with the lame man outside the temple gates. Rather than ignoring him or simply giving him some money, they saw him. Peter prayed for the lame man, and instantly Jesus healed him! We learned how if God could use a fisherman like Peter, He can use us to do miracles for Him too!

A group from Mrs. Burnett’s class sang along with Riley & Kevin as they led us in the worship song, “Firm Foundation.” And of course, our favorite friend “Chuck Foo” helped teach our Bible verse from Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

We finished our Chapel time by praying for our friends and classmates who need God to work a miracle in their lives. If you’d like to spend some time talking about this with your family, check out this short devotion:
