ad the privilege of attending our recent strings and band concerts and was particularly impressed with our middle school students and all they have accomplished in their musical growth since August. I have the unique privilege of my office being located right next to the band room so I have a front row seat to hearing them grow and mature in the mastery of their musical selections all year long. Mr. Hurt is doing a wonderful job of overseeing our Performing Arts Department, and I’m so thankful for each of the teachers who are responsible for instructing these classes. May the LORD continue to use these students and their incredible gifts for His glory and honor!

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

The homestretch of the school year is here, but we haven’t reached summer break just yet. Keep encouraging your child to finish the school year strong!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Mr. Vinson continued our chapel series on “Finish Strong” by teaching from several passages of Scripture. In order to finish strong, students were reminded to 1) Keep their eyes on Jesus, 2) Keep good company with friends and 3) Keep trusting God with the results of their efforts. Our hope is that our students will finish the year strong by remembering that doing their best as a student is an act of worship to God. Check out this video as a reminder of what it looks like to celebrate early before you have finished the race!

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

In Ephesians 2:8-10 Paul emphasizes the role of works and faith in regards to our personal salvation. While good works do not serve as a basis for our salvation, they are nevertheless a necessary and expected fruit of our salvation. Our works are meant to glorify God rather than to give us a reason for boasting before Him. Most of us understand this concept when it comes to our salvation...the fact that God saves us on the account of Christ’s work vs. our own to keep us from boasting. But notice what Paul says in v.10 about the good works produced after our salvation. The fact that God has prepared the good works that flow from our salvation beforehand goes even further to show that we have zero grounds for boasting in ourselves. The gifts, abilities and resources that we have and use to bring glory to God are not a direct result of anything in us. Instead, those attributes are gifts from our Heavenly Father. In summary, we praise God and boast in Him because He saved us while we were dead in our sins, and He has made us alive to walk in the power of Spirit which enables us to now produce good. What an incredible God we serve!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Coach Ross continued our chapel series on “Finish Strong” by teaching from Luke 15:1-32. He emphasized that even in the midst of failures, we must avoid letting others or even our own emotions keep us from finishing strong in the work that God has called us to.

APRIL MEMORY VERSE: ROMANS 8:28-29 (ESV)

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

Spring is one of my favorite times of the school year due to the excitement surrounding the anticipation of summer break. Students are lively, the days are warmer, and there is just a general appreciation for school as the realization sets in that time is short for making final memories before moving on to the next grade level. Last spring was so hard on me personally as I missed the daily interaction with our students particularly during this spring period. What a blessing to be on campus with the option for face-to-face learning as we continue moving through April and as we look forward to May. In the coming weeks we will have more and more opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of your children this year. I’m so grateful for all that the LORD has done, and I am excited to make the most of these final weeks. May the LORD fill our students with spiritual moments and memories between now and summer break that will impact them for a lifetime!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Coach Carr kicked off our new series entitled “Finish Strong” by highlighting the call Jesus gave to his initial disciples in Mark 1:16-20 . As we look towards finishing this school year strong, Coach Carr reminded us that we need to be fully devoted in our walk with Jesus as a starting point for finishing strong. May the LORD continue to call our students into a deeper relationship with Him!

Please fill out the google form in this email with your student’s talent selection and include any required information. All selections MUST be submitted by April 23rd.Participants will present their selection before our Fine Arts team on May 5th.

Book Fair

We are excited to offer a Scholastic Book Fair this spring! The students (K3-5th grade) will visit the book fair with their class one time during the week of April 19-23. In order to limit the amount of people visiting the book fair, the students will only visit the book fair with their class rather than with a parent accompanying them. Students that wish to participate will need to have an electronic account set up by a parent for payment. We will not accept cash or checks. More information about the book fair and setting up the electronic account will be sent home after spring break. Happy reading!

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

May each of you enjoy the time off from school and the changing of the seasons as we rest in the peace that comes from the resurrection of our Savior!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Mr. Higgins challenged our students from Luke 9:51 and the major turning point in Christ's ministry where He set his eyes on Jerusalem. The challenge was "Christ fixed His eyes on Jerusalem and the Cross for us. Will we fix our eyes on Jesus?" Mr. Higgins further challenged us to return to our first love just as the church of Ephesus was told to do in Revelation 2:2.

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

Don’t forget to make sure your child is coming to school each day with a mask. We have seen a rise recently in students who are needing to come and get a mask from my office each day. Please double check that your child has a mask before leaving the house and perhaps stick a few back ups in their book bag as well. Thank you for your help and support in this area!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Pastor JC Worley from Go Church spoke from Proverbs 13:20 and 14:7, continuing our series on “Wisdom from Proverbs.” Pastor JC emphasized that if we walk with the wise, we will be led into wisdom ourselves, but if we walk with fools our lives will end in ruin. Wise friends can be a source of guidance while foolish friends often lead us into temptations and traps. Ultimately, our students were left with this thought: “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.” Our prayer is that all of our students would seek godly friendships as a source of encouragement.

MARCH MEMORY VERSE: MATTHEW 28:18-20 (ESV)

FAnd Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

This is a reminder that Q3 will be ending on March 12! Can you believe we are almost ¾ of the way through the school year? We are so proud of how hard our students have been working and all that God is teaching them as we continue navigating through this pandemic. Overall, our students have been doing so well with the new mask regulations. It’s evident that being on campus is important to them, and we continue to be thankful that God is allowing face-to-face learning as an option. Keep encouraging your children to work hard and to finish out Q3 strong!

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

We are so blessed and thankful for the re-enrollment numbers we are seeing for next year! At almost 96% retention and with several more families still planning to re-enroll, the LORD has been so gracious to us through this pandemic. I couldn’t help but think about the provision we see from God towards His people in Deuteronomy 29:5 where we are told that the Israelites wandered for 40 years in the wilderness but never had to replace their clothing or their shoes. Think about that! That completely defies logic for clothing and shoes to last that long. It also is hard to believe that in the middle of a pandemic Trinity continues to grow. Praise the LORD for His goodness, protection and provision. All glory goes to Him!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Coach Roby Ross continued our series on “Wisdom from Proverbs” by speaking to the students from Proverbs 3:1-18 emphasizing the importance of perspective when it comes to godly wisdom vs. leaning on our own understanding.

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

Recently, I’ve been studying James 2 as part of a men’s group I’m a part of at church. How timely given that we are in the midst of celebrating Black History Month as the message of James 2 is all about fighting our tendencies to show partiality and favoritism towards others based on what we perceive to be true about them. Let me encourage you to read through chapter 2 and meditate on the truth of the words found there. May we all learn to see each other as image-bearers of God, and may we all embrace our responsibility to treat each other with the same love and respect we desire for our own selves.

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

To help reduce any unnecessary exposure with our students, we took a break from chapel this week. We plan to resume chapel once we return from Winter Break.

FEBRUARY MEMORY VERSE: EPHESIANS 2:8-10 (ESV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Week of February 22 - TRANSFORMATION = History teachers will be emphasizing African-Americans who were "culture-changers" by their attitudes, actions and responses to "stand against culture in its wrongness.” (see Robinson House tagline)

A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

February is a special month as we celebrate Black History in our history classes (and other classes too). One of our great desires here at Trinity is that our students would come to understand and value each and every individual as an image-bearer of God. One of the ways we strive to accomplish this is by celebrating the diverse ways that God has created us. We are looking forward to celebrating many of the African-American men and women who have been used by God in mighty ways to impact this world. Be on the lookout for ways we will be celebrating throughout the month.

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Mr. Higgins kicked off our new chapel series looking at the topic of wisdom from the book of Proverbs. He took time to emphasize to the students the difference between man’s wisdom and God’s wisdom. Throughout Quarter 3 we will continue to teach our students to value the wisdom found in God through His Word.

JANUARY MEMORY VERSE: II Corinthians 5:20-21 (ESV)

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Our students had the opportunity to write “thank you” cards to the many employees serving our community right now at both Fayette and Newnan Piedmont hospitals. The cards are being used as part of a larger initiative to provide gift baskets to the 4,500 employees at both hospitals. We are so thankful for those frontline workers who are giving so much time and energy to serve and care for the sick during this season.
