A Message from the Principal

Congratulations to our incredible Theatre Department for their outstanding performance of Little Women at the One Act Play competition! Our students displayed remarkable talent, teamwork, and poise, delivering a production that beautifully reflected their dedication and God-given gifts. We are extremely proud of each member of our theatre team and their director, Mrs. Lizzie Perez who’s passion for excellence shines brightly.

As the weather begins to change, I’d like to remind our families to review our updated High School Dress Code (pages 65–66), specifically regarding outerwear and layering. We want our students to stay warm while remaining in dress code compliance, and your partnership helps us maintain a consistent and professional standard across campus. 2025-2026 Parent/Student Handbook (Official)

During my devotion time this week, I was reminded of this powerful truth:

“Culture can’t capture a heart that is captivated by God’s goodness and greatness.”

In a world that constantly competes for our attention and affection, it’s comforting to know that a heart anchored in God remains steadfast. When our hearts are truly captivated by Him, we find joy that circumstances can’t shake, peace that the world can’t offer and purpose that trends can’t define. My prayer is that we all as  students, parents and faculty would live each day captivated by His goodness.

Last week in Chapel

Pastor Joey Rodgers from FBC Peachtree City spoke about the importance of having a personal quiet time with God. He emphasized that consistent time in Scripture and prayer is essential for building intimacy and deepening our relationship with the Lord. Pastor Joey reminded students that Christianity is not just about knowing facts about God, but truly knowing Him personally. Through quiet time, believers grow in faith, hear God’s voice, and find strength for daily living. He challenged everyone to make space each day to meet with God, allowing His presence to transform their hearts and guide their lives.

NOVEMBER - APPLY TO COLLEGE MONTH

Georgia Apply to College (GAC) is part of the American College Application Campaign, a national initiative of ACT's Center for Equity in Learning to increase the number of students accessing postsecondary education. In support of GAC each year, the Governor has proclaimed November to be Georgia Apply to College Month.

Many schools within Georgia waive their application fees during the month of November. In support of this initiative, the counseling department will be encouraging our seniors to apply to at least one college in the month of November.

SAVE THE DATE!: COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP

The counseling department is hosting a college financial aid workshop on Monday, Nov. 17th from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Student Activities Center in Building 1. Ben Meadows from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will be here to discuss the Hope Scholarship, state aid programs and share details about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This will be an informative meeting for seniors and their parents looking at ways to pay for college and complete all the necessary college financial aid documentation.

2026-2027 FAFSA Released

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been released for the 2026-27 school year. The FAFSA is used to apply for federal, state and college aid, including grants and student loans. It would also apply to students in Georgia looking to receive the HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship. In general, it needs to be filled out every year a student is in college in order to receive financial aid.

You can find information about the FAFSA and to apply at StudentAid.gov.

We will be hosting a FAFSA and HOPE Scholarship workshop on Monday, Nov. 17th from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Student Activities Center in Building 1.
