A Message from the Principal

Mr. Wheeler’s Weekly Word of Encouragement

As we enter the week leading into Thanksgiving, I want to invite each of us (students, parents, faculty, and friends) to pause and reflect on the goodness of God in our lives. In the busyness of school, activities and the routines of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the countless blessings He pours out on us. But when we slow down, even for a moment, we begin to see just how present His hand truly is.

This week, I encourage you to take a moment with your family to reflect on the unique things you’re thankful for, including those personal blessings that might not make a headline but mean the world to you. Praise God for those special gifts. They are reminders of His faithfulness.

As your High School Principal, I want you to know how deeply grateful I am for you. Thank you for your continued support, your partnership in the mission of Trinity Christian School and your prayers for our administrative team and faculty. Your encouragement fuels our work and your trust strengthens our commitment to serve your children with excellence and Christ-centered care.

From my family to yours, I pray this Thanksgiving season fills your home with peace, gratitude and the joy that comes from knowing God is with us and for us!

STUDENT BAKE OFF Competition

Our Student Council organization is planning a Student Bake-Off in which the teachers are the judges. Competition is scheduled for Friday, December 5th. Since we have two lunches there will be two competitions with two 1st place winners, who will get $50  and two 2nd place winners, who will get $30. After the judging, Student Council will slice up the desserts and serve students -  so we need lots and lots of Homemade desserts. If you want to show off your baking skills, then fill out the form below by Thursday, December 4th by noon.

BAKE OFF SIGN UP

On the morning of competition, drop your deserts off on the stage. Be sure to place it on the table with the lunch you have that day (A or B). For refrigerated items, take to Mrs. Bragg’s room (Room 500). You must label your dessert with your name in order for us to recognize or award your dessert.

Deserts with nuts are not allowed.

Last week in Chapel

Last week Mr. Tipton concluded our series on "How do I connect with Jesus?  What is a spiritual discipline?"  Specifically, the disciplines of meditation and preaching to yourself were highlighted. We emphasized that no one influences you more than yourself because your inner dialogue shapes your life. Christian meditation, unlike Eastern emptying of the mind, fills the mind with Scripture so “the word of Christ” dwells richly within (Col. 3:16). Believers are called to love God with their minds, examining what occupies their thoughts—day and night. True meditation involves a teachable posture before God (Ps. 119:18) and focuses on His works, His love, and His law. Many instead meditate on self, preferences, and personal judgment. Scripture warns that harmful inner dialogue, such as resentment and exclusivity—are not acceptable to God (Psalm 19:14). Additionally, we learned that meditation enables Christian bravery and courage (Josh. 1:8-9). The battleground is the idle mind: what captures your thoughts (2 Cor. 10:5)? Through memorizing, journaling, continual reflection on Scripture, and preaching the gospel to themselves, believers practice God’s presence and warm their hearts at the “fires of meditation.”

Academic Matters

Please see the schedule below for our December Final Exams. Since students get out at 12:15 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, SAGE will be serving breakfast instead of lunch for those three days.

Prayer Requests

The High School Administrative Team would love to partner with families to lift up prayer requests you have. Please fill out the TCS High School Prayer Requests form to submit a request. These requests will be prayed over on a regular basis and kept confidential among the High School Administrative Team.

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” Colossians 4:2

PRAYER REQUEST FORM

FROM THE COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

The order for AP Exams has been placed, and students will incur a $50 fee per exam. Their Blackbaud accounts will be charged in December.

11th GRADE PSAT RESULTS

PSAT results for 11th grade students who took the recent administration in October have been released. Students can find their results by logging in to their College Board account. We will also have the results posted in their Blackbaud dashboard as soon as possible.

FALL SEMESTER GRADES

The first semester is rapidly moving along, as we only have five weeks left in the grading period. Students should be aware of their current grade in each one of their classes and connect with their teacher for ways to improve their grade. This would include getting assignments completed on time, turning in late work that can still be accepted and using their Do-Over assignment opportunities if they have not already done so.

All failed courses remain on the transcript. Any course that is not passed will have to be made up in order to receive the necessary credit for graduation. Students who fail a semester course will be notified by the counseling department of their options for completing failed courses

SAT DATES FOR 2025-26

Registration for fall and spring administration of the SAT is now live. You can register online here through the College Board.

Seniors should consider taking the SAT during the fall semester of 2025 to improve their score for college admissions or scholarship opportunities.

Juniors should target the spring semester of 2026 for their first administration.
