The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph

Re-enrollment Reminder: It is time to re-enroll for the 2022-23 school year! It is our privilege to have your family here at Trinity and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership with you for next school year. Re-enrollment takes place between 2/1-2/11. I strongly encourage you to re-enroll during this time to secure a place for your student next year. We have seen an increase in tour requests and inquiries and anticipate that we will reach capacity early on.

Read Across America Week, February 28-March 4

We are excited to celebrate Read Across America the week of February 28-March 4. This will be a fun filled week in which we will celebrate reading while highlighting some of our favorite authors like Dr Seuss. We are looking forward to this fun week together!

Monday: Crazy Hat Day (Wear your favorite/crazy hat along with a regular uniform).

Tuesday: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (Wear red and blue). If your child participates, they do not need to wear a regular uniform.

Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday (Wear mismatched/backwards clothes). If your child participates, they do not need to wear a regular uniform.

Thursday: Thing 1 and Thing 2 Day (Dress like Thing 1 and Thing 2 OR dress identical to a friend). If your child participates, they do not need to wear a regular uniform.

Friday:  Crazy Sock Day (Wear your craziest socks along with a TCS spirit wear shirt and uniform bottoms or jeans).

Last Week in Chapel

Pastor Kami continued our “Jesus is Worth It!” series in Chapel last week. She shared about how Jesus is trustworthy. People and life’s circumstances will let us down, but Jesus never will. He will never hurt us, disappoint us, or let us down. Jesus is completely trustworthy.

The Main Idea: I can trust Jesus with all I have.

Bible Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

The Key Take-Away Point: I Trust in Jesus With All My Heart!

IOWA Testing Date Change

To help provide our teachers with additional instructional time and to give our students more exposure to their grade level content, we are moving our standardized testing week to May 2-6. We are exploring the option of being able to complete our testing online as well. More specific information will be provided soon.

Elementary Talent Show

TCS is eagerly anticipating our annual Elementary Talent Show! What a special time to showcase the wide variety of God-given gifts represented in our student body! The Elementary Talent Show will be held on Thursday, February 10th at 6:00 pm in the Student Center located in the Early Learning building. All selections MUST be submitted by Tuesday, February 1st. Participants will present their selection before our talent team on February 8th from 3:30-4:30. Please reach out to Cathy Settle or Emily Litton with any questions!

Pre-Absence Requests

Please note that pre-absence forms must be submitted five days prior to the first date of the absence. This will allow your child's teacher adequate time to prepare assignments for the absence period. If this form is submitted less than five days from the absence, the student will receive the missing work upon return.

Blackbaud: Classroom Updates & Information

To stay informed of what’s happening in your child’s classroom, please login into Blackbaud weekly. You will be able to see information such as weekly classroom announcements, upcoming events, weekly academic focus, grades, attendance, etc. This is the key to staying informed and will replace the hardcopy newsletter sent home in the past. I encourage you to login each week. We are excited for this new format! Information will be updated each Sunday at 5pm.

Accessing your child's class information weekly:

  • Login to your Blackbaud account and select your child's name under "Children".

  • Find your child's homeroom class under the "Progress" tab by scrolling down to where classes are listed.

  • After selecting the homeroom class, you will see the teacher's main class page where you will locate upcoming dates, class reminders and news.

  • Select the "Topics" tab to see specific information for each individual subject. Within each subject folder, you will see a plan for the week and upcoming projects and test information.

  • The "Topics" pages update each Sunday evening at 5pm and will remain current until the following Sunday evening.
