Honoring Our Heroes
As Veterans Day draws near, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude and admiration. This year, we’re thrilled to come together as a Lower School family to pay tribute to the cherished veterans in our school community - your loved ones - who have served our nation with courage, sacrifice, and devotion.
We warmly invite you to share photos of your family members who are veterans, past or present, along with a brief description of their service. Your contributions will help us create a heartfelt display in our halls, celebrating their heroism and inspiring our students with stories of patriotism and gratitude. By sharing your family’s story, our students will learn a deeper appreciation for the remarkable people who safeguard our nation’s freedom.
To join us in creating our Lower School HERO WALL, please complete the following form by Monday, October 20th. We are honored to stand together in celebrating our veteran heroes!
Chapel Moments
This week in Chapel, Mrs. Randolph continued our “T.H.I.N.K. Before You Speak” series focusing on the letter “H”. Students learned that our words should be Helpful and encouraging to others. Gossiping and complaining is not helpful to anyone and should be avoided because it only hurts others. Students learned that we should ensure that every word we say is truly Helpful.
Whatchagaddaknow: I Will Use My Words To Help, Not Hurt!
Power Verse: “…Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” – Ephesians 4:29
